My grandmother purchased it in Rhode Island and was told it was vintage back them. I do not know the maker or where it was made. I recently recovered it in a vintage piece of Scalamandre Damask I had been saving. The upholsterer showed me its original horsehair padding. I believe it is mahogany, it has carved back and arms, I believe the arm is a Shepards crook arm, upholstered seat, on stretcher base. It has some scuffs (see photos of arms and legs) Carved rosette on each shaped arm. Neoclassical motif on pierced back and tapering legs. Its a beautiful piece and has been a center of our living rooms over the years. There are no more children in the family to use it, so its time for it to bring delight to a new family to enjoy it. Please ask for more details or additional photos. My measurement are approximate 27 3/4" high, 15 1/4" wide X 13" deep Seat height 11 1/2" , Arms are 21" High. See less
