Elliott London bracket clock circa 1970. Decorated with raised inlay work featuring exotic Chinoiserie figures and flora a la Jean Baptiste Pillement. In wonderful antique condition showing subtle craquelure to some of the painted areas, minor scrapes to gilt surfaces and some signs of age wear to the various metals. All expected and none detract. Presents beautifully. Primarily red, gold and brass. In working condition with hand-wound movement and regulator, which allows adjustments faster or slower. Winds unusually - COUNTERclockwise, to the left. Keeps decent enough time but it’s somehow always a little off, fast or slow. Hard to get it perfect. Tick-Tock is on the louder side and definitely adds atmosphere to a room. This model has no chimes. Highly decorative and just beautiful to extremes.
Chairish sells clocks solely to be intended for display. The mechanical elements are not guaranteed to be in working order by Chairish.

Subtle craquelure to paint in some areas. Overall excellent antique condition. Gorgeous overall effect and impact. Requires weekly manual winding by turning the winder COUNTERclockwise (rotate toward the left). Speed can be adjusted Faster or Slower by inserting a paper clip or other thin object into the regulator slot and moving the bar to the right or left. Timekeeping works but is generally a little fast or slow. I think this is just how these clocks run. Never keeps exactly perfect time. The ticking is pretty loud. It does not have any chimes. On the smaller side but a dazzling and impactful addition to any space. Hard to find one in such great condition. A very special clock. less
