A set of 6 vintage catchalls crescent shaped decorative dishes designed and manufactured by the Italian master of playful and surreal self-expression Piero Fornasetti in the 1960s. Each deep dish or vide poche (catchall) is in the shape of a half moon or demi-lune with a black and white neoclassical medallion theme on a gold or gilt background. They are all individually numbered 1 through 6 on the back together with the Fornasetti mark. Could also be used as an ashtray or as candy, nut, salad or other serving plates.
