A Chinese Blue and White Inscribed and Dated Stoneware Jar. Possibly Kangxi.
Painted with continuous calligraphic inscriptions including the short neck with a band of words.
Glazed.
The base and the rim are “raw,” unglazed (which means the pottery is NOT a modern replica).
Provenance: The item was acquired at an antiques/specialty shop in Southern Japan, Fukuoka Prefecture.
Condition: Excellent for age. Item has not be repaired or cleaned. 100% authentic and unique.
11 inches high, 9 inches wide.
