An exceptional pair of vintage contemporary lacquered wood bookends, showcasing bold architectural forms inspired by classical columns. Finished in a rich oxblood red lacquer with subtle variations in tone, each sculptural piece features beautifully fluted detailing rising from a substantial geometric plinth. Their refined simplicity and striking color create a sophisticated balance between classical inspiration and modern design, making them as sculptural as they are functional. Acquired from a Palm Beach estate.
Whether displayed in a distinguished library, executive office, or atop a beautifully styled bookshelf, these museum-worthy bookends introduce architectural elegance and refined sophistication to any interior. Their timeless design complements Contemporary, Modern, Postmodern, and Hollywood Regency interiors, adding a rich pop of color, sculptural interest, and understated luxury to a thoughtfully curated space.
