This is a wonderful decorated and gilded vase from the celebrated Danish artist and designer Bjorn Wiinblad.
The series is "Commedia dell Arte" - it depicts Wiinblad's signature round-faced people, in fanciful costume.
One one side of the vase, a lady, turbaned and slippered, sits atop a balcony and is celebrated by her followers, who are dressed in harlequin tights, hats and masks and who serenade and fan her amongst heavily blossomed trees.

On the other side of the vase, two harlequins happily hold the lady's train.

The gilded accents decorate the musical instruments, clothing, and other details in the story. The overall feel of the scene is relaxed and happy, celebratory and bright.The shape of the vase is very elegant, with a narrower base and elongated top.

It is in good vintage condition. Signed with the artist's signature and title & item # on the bottom.
The artist's signature is also on vase, incorporated into the design of this charming work of art.
