This set of two vintage Mid Century Modernist Barbini Murano art glass orange Sommerso gold leaf Bullicante apple and pear fruit bookend sculptures is a very special and unique set to add to your collection.
The Modernist style fruit bookend sculptures are made in Italy in The Mid Twentieth Century by Alfredo Barbini of heavyweight hand blown Murano art glass. The Sommerso technique glass in outstanding in the gorgeous apricot persimmon orange and transparent clear platte, with a Bullicante controlled bubble design featuring Aventurine subtle gold leaf fleck details.
The set of two includes :
Pear - 6" H X 3 1/2" DIA
Apple - 4" H X 4 3/4" W X 3" DIA
The set of 2 Mid Century Modernist Murano art glass fruit bookend sculptures are in excellent " like new " clean vintage condition consistent with age and light signs of handling. Please see photos for condition reference. The set is now being offered here for an excellent price.
