I love color, particularly the color of a rising sun. I have included a recent dawn photo to show how impressions from nature can aid color schemes. The rocking chair is unmarked wicker and rattan rocker made in the 1920s. The chair seat is metal-framed like a box spring. Coiled spring construction which adds to its strength. I am attributing its manufacture to Heywood Bros. and Wakefield. Wicker and rattan together. The back of the chair is bent rattan.
I used a vintage Australian Onkaparinga blanket for upholstery. I enjoy integrating vintage plaids with vintage
design. I used blush pink linen on the arms and gray linen. The back pillow is plaid on one side and gray on the other. Choices.
