Chinese burlwood censer, in the form of a gongshi, a Chinese burlwood covered with numerous gnarled and knobby polished protrusions, … Read more Chinese burlwood censer, in the form of a gongshi, a Chinese burlwood covered with numerous gnarled and knobby polished protrusions, larger at the base to a dense pattern of smaller ones at the top, in dark, varied, ebony and mahogany tones, with a polished interior. The finely carved burlwood cover is custom fitted to a finely carved Zitan wood base with three incense slots. Circa early 20th century, no later than mid century.

Wood stand: 7/8" high x 6 1/4" long x 4 1/4" deep
