The attention to detail is clear; just look at the tiny fingers of the boy and girl figures, and the delicate roses. The word “kalk” in German means “chalk” or “plaster” which describes the flat, matte ceramic finish. This Rococco-style piece was crafted at the German porcelain company, Porzellanfabrik Kalk G.m.b.H. which was in operation from 1900 until 1958 when the factory was nationalized. Standing 7½ inches tall and 9½ at its widest point, this elegant jardiniere is free of chips or cracks and is in remarkable condition given its age. This beauty will be the perfect addition to your mid-century modern collection. See less
