Cafe L'Apertif is an artist proof linocut on paper. Phoebe Cole (Gordon) is an American artist from the Pacific Northwest and California. This print was done in 1980. It is on thin artist paper, signed, dated in pencil by artist. It is very bold and beautiful. It is matted simply in a metal frame popular in the 1980's.
Some of her works are held in the collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the National Museum of Women in the Arts, and the Portland Art Museum.
