Chinese porcelain dragonfly bowl, finely potted with a white glazed interior and inset base, and a sky blue glazed body … Read more Chinese porcelain dragonfly bowl, finely potted with a white glazed interior and inset base, and a sky blue glazed body and stepped foot. Blue camellia bushes are quartered on the interior wall, with a finely drawn landscape of foraging animals amid rocks, trees, shrubs and grasses within double blue circles at the bottom. The double blue circles are repeated at the inside rim. Quartered on the body are two finely drawn, small floral medallions with a dragonfly above, and two large floral medallions bracketed by dragonflies at their sides, all amid dense, ornate, polychrome, flowering, leafy vines, and all sparsely covered with a very fine, small pattern, iron wire craquelure. Thin double red accent lines bracket the body at the lip with a single one at the extended foot. A red four character Kangxi reign mark within double squares is glazed to the inset base. The traditional, finely carved, hongmu, circular stand is included. Circa early 20th century, no later than mid century. Excellent vintage condition.
