Found in the South of France this mid 1800s French Rush Seat Lounge Chair features a rush seat created by using a weaving technique where long, dried grass-like vegetation is used. The fauteuil armchair or lounge chair was constructed with a high back decorated with three horizontal slats. The small distance between the seat and the ground and the elongated seat, underline the essence of the design.
