Elevate your next gathering with the ultimate mid-century tropical tablescape. This spectacular, scarce 42-piece "Tropicana" earthenware service by Maruta Ware (Japan, circa 1950s) brings an organic, sophisticated elegance to elegant entertaining.
Every single piece features vibrant, hand-painted green botanical leaves set against a warm cream backdrop. The true artistry lies in the structural details: every rim, handle, and lid finial is beautifully embossed and sculpted to perfectly mimic textured, organic bamboo stalks with soft brown highlights.
This massive collection is uniquely distinguished by its double hostess suite—featuring two complete teapots, sugars, and creamers—making it absolutely flawless for hosting large afternoon teas, breezy garden brunches, or an upscale, retro-inspired cocktail gathering. In phenomenal vintage condition, this set appears to have been purely celebratory and barely used.
Set Includes:• 16 Luncheon / Dessert Plates• 10 Teacups• 10 Saucers• 2 Sculpted Teapots with Lids• 2 Covered Sugar Bowls• 2 Creamers
