About The Poster: Richard Avedon, the noted American fashion photographer first met The Beatles in 1965 at the Ad Lib club in London. Two and a half years later Avedon had the opportunity to shoot The Beatles for the US magazine called Look. Avedon took a number of shots of the group in the August 1967 session, four of which were later adorned with psychedelic effects. They were first published in the 9 January 1968 edition of the US magazine Look, and were subsequently sold as posters.
This poster, done for an Avedon exhibition at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, is in excellent condition, obvious folds and ready to frame.
