Chinese Ba yin Mountain stone "Shuang Feng Qi Shi" gongshi, an eight sounds stone, producing a metallic sound, named "Twin Peaks". Produced on the mountains near Liuzhou, Guangxi province. A jagged light and dark grey stone with deep crevices and voids, covered with textured net of small pattern waxy black lines. The gongshi is mounted on a polished, custom fitted, Chinese hongmu base. Circa ROC, no later than mid century.
Wood stand: 1 7/8" high x 6 3/4" wide x 5" deep,
stone: 12 1/8" high x 6" wide x 4 5/8" deep.
