A substantial signed 1955 female torso sculpture attributed to Alva Studios, carved from marble and stone. Standing approximately 20 inches tall and weighing about 30 pounds, this sculptural work balances classical proportions with the simplified forms and restrained geometry associated with mid-century modern design.
The naturally weathered surface and aged patina enhance the dimensional quality of the carving, while the solid marble construction gives the piece exceptional presence. Suitable for display on a pedestal, console, or shelf, it also works well in a sheltered outdoor setting.
