This one-of-a-kind etagere Has been around since the late 1800s! It has been completely refinished. .The overall color is grayish-blue. The top shelf has been done with a brick red and Antique white picture of boys having fun. In the picture, one boy is walking a goat over his sleeping companion, Two boys are playing ball, two boys are playing musical instruments, One boy is dancing with a girl, and a dog has chased a cat up a tree. The other three shelves have been stenciled in a matching metallic brick red Damask pattern. Brown wax was used to antique the item around the edges and in the creases.
All of the wood connections have been stabilized with glue. The entire thing has been painted and two cat coats of Polyurethane. Two cracks were found in the shelves. You can see these in the photo. They have been repaired with glue and coated with polyurethane.
There is 7.5 inches of space between the shelves.
