A very rare piece of Arts and Crafts Movement embroidery, this antique jewelry pillow would have graced the dressing table of an aristocratic woman, such as Lady Mary of Downton Abbey. Handmade and hand embroidered with exquisite detail, the small Art Nouveau era pillow has a hard filling to support the display of fine jewelry pieces such as bracelets and necklaces.
The antique embroidery was worked in fine silk on linen.
Please look closely at the photographs for the textile's condition. There are small brown spots from storage and a small hole near the bottom left corner of the pillow. The silk embroidery is in very good condition.
