Alfredo barbini was an Italian glassmaker. As a young master glassmaker for the Zecchin & Martinuzzi furnace, he later became artistic director of the Gino Cenedese glassworks, for which he created numerous glass statues and the so-called Aquariums, that is «blocks of colorless glass that incorporated colorful elements of marine flora and fauna , previously trained ". With Cenedese he participated in the 1948 Venice Biennale. The recession of the Cenedese led him in 1950 to the foundation of his own glass factory, in the management of which he was assisted by his sons Oceania and Flavio. The glassworks specialized in the processing of solid glass, submerged glass and starting from the seventies of murrina and thin blown glass. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
