The Abstract Expressionist poster print is published by The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum New York, gift, The Mark Rothko Foundation Inc. 1986. Printed in 2004 in an unnumbered limited edition. It features an " Untitled " artwork image originally created by Rothko in 1947, copyright 1998 Kate Rothko-Prizel & Christopher Rothko / VG Bild-Kunst, Bonn 2004.

Mark Rothko ( 1903 - 1970 ) is an American Modernist painter of Russian Jewish descent. Although Rothko himself refused to adhere to any art movement, he is generally defined as an Abstract Expressionist. His bold use of color fields make the artworks impressively iconic and highly individual. Rothko is considered to be one of the most important and influential American painters of The Twentieth Century. Artworks by Rothko are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.

The rare out of print framed lithograph print Abstract Expressionist museum poster measures 23 7/8" W X 31 3/4" H X 1 3/8" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern matte brushed finish gold tone metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " very clean condition with very light signs of handling.
