With a stunningly crafted Crane and his fish catch on a wonderful ornate plinth in the centre.
Circa late 19th century 1880.
Having beautiful intricate foliage leaves & berries repousse detail.
This piece was made for the Retailer H. Spiller, London stamped underneath, circa 1880.
Well-appointed for the writing traditionalist with its two removable, clear cut glass inkpots with hinged lids that sit securely inside delicately decorated square inserts and a quill rest recessed into the beautiful decorative base.
Raised on four angled feet with the underside stamped “SPILLER, 204 UPPER ST, ISLINGTON, S6148.”
