This is an antique decorative cheese keeper. An English, Jasperware serving dome in the manner of Wedgwood, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.

Distinctive Jasperware with white over blue ground
Of generous size with provision for a truckle of Stilton of 2kg to 3kg in size (4.4 lb to 6.61 lb)
Highly detailed acorn finial sits above the keeper lid

Cameo relief of putto adorns the circumference of the dome
