Superb wood carving on these substantial and elegant 19th Century Austro-Hungarian Empire chairs. Completely restored with new springs and cushions and reupholstered a few years ago in luxury fabric with an iridescent quality.
Provenance: The personal home collection of interior designer June Hrabosky and her husband, the noted major league baseball pitcher and broadcaster Al Hrabosky. These magnificent Central European pieces from the last decades of the Habsburg Empire reflect Hrabosky's Hungarian heritage.
