This hand carved beauty hails from the 1960's mid-century era. It is a very large box / chest that is heavy and completely hand carved from solid wood. The front panel has a deep relief carved scene of a matador and bull, hand painted in bold tones of metallic gold, forest green, bright red, brown, white, and black. It has ornate brushed metal hardware throughout: framing pieces on the front, oversized ornate hinges on top, front dangling pull handle, and side handles for easy movement of the box. It opens via hinge and has a chain inside to prevent the top from falling backwards when in use. This is a unique and captivating piece that will make a statement in any room. It offers a spacious interior for storage of whatever you would like: documents, craft supplies, collectibles, etc...
