Francisco Bor s Lopez was an influential Spanish artist associated with several Modern art movements of the 20th century. Born in Madrid in 1898, Bor s followed in the steps of many of his Spanish peers by relocating to Paris in 1925. During his lengthy tenure in France, Bor s was immersed in the revolutionary art movements taking shape at that time, fraternizing with prominent Cubists, Surrealists, and Fauvists including Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse.
