This rustic pitcher-shaped beauty was handcrafted sometime in the 1980s. I picked it up from a Kansas City design store that is no longer; origin and maker is unknown. Made from an ecru/light beige unglazed earthenware with fabulous intentional distressing and “cratering” which gives it an antiquity vibe. Dual pierced two-level handles on each side have been threaded with rope strands and wooden beads for an added level of visual and textural interest. It’s not waterproof and should be used simply for décor. It measures 14” high; 7” wide; 4½” lip diameter; low pedestal bottom diameter 4”; 22” circumference; weight 3 lbs. 11 oz.; medium is unglazed earthenware in pale ecru/light beige with random dark brown "cratered" distressing. In excellent condition with minimal wear; rustic appearance is intentional. Fabulous piece for a treasure hunter, style seeker or design enthusiast because every home deserves something with style and meaning!
