Each decorated with a landscape scene in blue and white showing a standing Chinese figure beneath a parasol in front of an ornamental Chippendale fence. Set includes seven plates and one quatrefoil lozenge dish. The shaped and relief molded rims have four intricate reticulated or pierced panels. Each has an impressed "LEEDS POTTERY" mark used between 1775 and 1800. The quatrefoil dish measures 11" and the plates 9.5" in diameter. Good condition - one plate has an old hairline crack on its edge measuring 1" long. Light crazing. These plates represent a rare survival individually and as a set. Together they can decorated a glazed cabinet or sideboard. See less
