This is a beautiful hand painted gnome or leprechaun made in 1974 and signed. The soft muted colors and details are stunning. I love his pose, pointed hat and pointed shoes, pointed ears and gorgeous eyes. The details of the mushrooms are awesomely depicted.
Gnomes and Leprechauns are both a symbol of good luck, although they are not one and the same.
