Whimsical daisy cast aluminum eight coaster set with matching swivel handle caddy for a total of nine pieces. Attributed to Stanhome, there is no makers name on this set which is not surprising considering at one point there were several hundred companies producing aluminum type products. In fact, most of this type of aluminum ware made its way into homes as wedding gifts from the 1930s through the 1950s. It is not unusual to find a range of items made from aluminum; ranging from ice buckets to coaster sets and bookends to ashtrays.

The motif is that of a single daisy on each coaster. The swivel handle caddy has no daisy/daisies but instead features a whimsical trailing leaf trellis pattern on both the sides, and on the handle. Dimensions: caddy 3¼” x 5” D/H (handle up) and 2¾” handle down; each coaster measures 3” x ¼” D/H; crafted from cast aluminum; weight for the entire set 6 oz. The set(s) look fabulous for their age with no corrosion; age appropriate wear for this era (see photos). Perfect accent for a home bar or any space where you entertain and need a set of cool-retro coasters to protect your tabletops from condensation damage.
