Each lion is seated atop a cloth-draped plinth, with one paw atop a brocade ball. The lion is a symbol of strength and protection. The lion is the protector of the Buddha and is found as sculptures at the entrances to many Chinese temples. This pair is in excellent condition and has wonderful patina. See less
