An antique French bronzed spelter clock set with its pair of matching gilt candelabra/garniture. The finely cast figurine of a lady holding a manuscript is entitled Poésie and is signed by the maker Jean Charles Ruchot from the Art Nouveau period. The white ceramic dial has Arabic numerals with a pretty central decorative design, all encased in a pretty variegated pink marble adorned with gilt metalwork. A lovely original piece in working order chiming on the hour and half past the hour. It is supplied with the key. The clock is shipped with the pendulum removed for transit purposes. This piece has an attribution mark,
