Original notary desk or writing furniture from the 19th century. Belgian. Solidly made of oak.
Standing on lion feet, 2 base units with one door each, behind which there is one drawer and one shelf. The lion paws feet suggest the French style epoch of the Empire, whereas the diamonds on the door panels are more attributed to Louis Size. Above this is a pull-out board with 2 brass knobs and above this again a large drawer (new brass knobs have been mounted here. On the board lies the desk top with flap.
