The grandfather clock is a grandfather clock and a handmade pendulum clock made in Franche-Comte, especially in Morez and Morbier in Jura, from the late seventeenth century and whose industrial production has stopped the early twentieth century.
The Comtois clocks are sometimes called by other names ( "Morez", "Morbier" and "Grandfather"). These terms are used also in English or German.
