Maison Jansen Style, French Mid-Century Modern, Pair of Étagères or Shelving Units, Steel, Brass, Glass, France, 1970s
A pair of substantial étagères or shelving units in the manner of Maison Jansen and designed and produced in France, circa 1970s. Each example features an elegant open brushed steel framework with brass accents, decorative turned finials, and tapered brass feet. The slender vertical supports are joined by horizontal stretchers and fitted with five glass shelves, creating a refined and airy architectural silhouette. The combination of polished metal, warm brass detailing, and transparent glass reflects the sophisticated neoclassical influence characteristic of Maison Jansen designs. Steel frame presents with light patina throughout.
