Enhance your gallery wall or shelf styling with this exquisite, authentic mid-century Chinoiserie still life by acclaimed 20th-century artist Alfonso T. Toran (1896–1965). Known for his high-end decorative commissions—including iconic murals inside New York's Waldorf-Astoria and Hotel Pierre—Toran’s personal works masterfully blend Mid-Century Modern restraint with glamorous Hollywood Regency flair.
This serene print depicts a vibrant, glossy red vase holding delicate flowering cherry blossom branches alongside a miniature golden Kuan Yin Buddhist figurine. The striking foreground composition is juxtaposed against a hazy, monochromatic background silhouette of a traditional tiered pagoda and weeping willow lines.
The piece is signed by the artist in longhand script in the lower-right corner. Just to the right of the signature, the piece features Toran's authentic, stylized personal copyright mark, verifying its production timeline to his lifetime (circa 1940s–1950s). It arrives housed in its original, heavily detailed faux-bamboo carved wood frame with a rich gold-gilt finish.
