Each hinged leaf lifts smoothly to form a generous serving platform measuring 162 cm in total length, standing 82 cm high by 50 cm deep. When folded, the piece assumes a compact rectangular profile suitable for use as a lamp stand, hall table, or occasional side surface. The framework provides two tiers of practical accommodation, incorporating a spacious open intermediate shelf for bottles, decanters, or crockery. Beneath the shelf sits a full-width frieze drawer fitted with twin brass swan-neck bail handles, providing enclosed storage space for cutlery, cocktail tools, table linens, or bar accessories. The drawer glides smoothly within the solid timber housing. Support is provided by shaped upright corner pillars resting upon classic cabriole legs linked by a shaped lower apron. The trolley retains its brass Shepherd-style ball castors, allowing effortless movement across hard floors or carpeting when transferring refreshments between rooms. Finished throughout in a rich, warm mahogany stain, the timber displays attractive grain across the flat panels and bevelled outer borders. Likely dating from the mid to late twentieth century, this sturdy British-made piece combines traditional Queen Anne stylistic elements with everyday serving convenience. Its robust hardwood construction ensures stability whether loaded for entertaining or positioned stationary against a wall. See less
