1970s all-original superb example of Ingmar Relling’s classic design ‘Siesta Chair’ for Westnofa in Norway.
This completely original ‘Siesta’ version has the high-back with a separated head cushion and optional armrests. The cushions are held in place being lashed to the chair with hidden cording.
This beauty is in outstanding condition! The leather cushions (in a soft shade of eggplant) are soft and supple with no issues. Only a couple of minor wear marks to the arm rest. No dry or cracked leather.
The bentwood beech wood frame is practically flawless. And the heavy (under) support canvas is very good overall with only a couple of very small minor edge wear scuffs and some hard to see very light age-spotting.
Signed to the frame with original label intact.
