A striking pair of antique armchairs in the English Jacobean Revival style, featuring tall upholstered backs, gracefully curved arms, carved foliage, floral rosettes, turned front supports, stretchers, and carved paw feet. Gently arched backs and decorative nailhead trim complete their stately silhouettes.
The wooden frames were stripped to reveal their natural wood color, highlighting the grain and intricate carved details. Both chairs were then reupholstered in beautiful striped velvet in warm golden tan, cream, taupe, and deep blue tones.
The combination of natural wood and tailored velvet gives these antique chairs a relaxed sophistication. Beautiful flanking a fireplace, anchoring a library, or providing statement seating in a living room.
