An authentic piece of Bulgarian Troyan redware pottery, this substantial 11.5-inch centerpiece bowl was originally curated and imported by Williams-Sonoma for their premier "Grande Cuisine" line in the late 1980s or 1990s. This shallow console bowl perfectly bridges rustic folk art with sophisticated interior design, serving beautifully as a sculptural decorative anchor or a fully functional table piece.
Equally practical and artistic, the interior features a food-safe, rich, high-gloss forest green glaze showcasing the iconic, hypnotic "Troyan drop" or peacock tail motif—a historic slipware technique achieved by hand-marbling liquid clay slips before firing. The exterior transitions into a beautiful, unglazed matte redware terracotta base that offers a striking tactile contrast to the polished interior. A gorgeous, organic injection of pattern and warmth for Global Eclectic, Boho Chic, or Modern Rustic spaces.
