These have an unusually substantial, enveloping shape—the curved backs sweep continuously into oversized rolled arms, creating a sculptural silhouette that looks impressive from virtually every angle.

The interiors feature deep hand-tufted upholstery, with pronounced folds and covered buttons giving the backs and arms wonderful dimension. The dark chocolate mohair is especially effective here: its dense pile catches the light differently across the tufting, moving from deep espresso brown to softer bronze-brown tones depending on the direction of the nap.

The broad single-seat cushions keep the fronts clean and tailored, while contrasting dark piping traces the cushions, lower frames, and rolled-arm details. Small turned bun feet sit discreetly beneath the substantial upholstered bodies, keeping the profile low and grounded.

Although rooted in a traditional Chesterfield-inspired form, the exaggerated curved proportions and monochromatic mohair treatment give the pair a decidedly Hollywood Regency / modern decorator presence.
