This sophisticated Art Deco piece features a finely detailed, cast antique bronze dog figurine standing alongside a heavy, highly polished black Portoro marble base accented with natural gold and cream veining.
The underside retains its rare, original dark green protective felt and the authentic paper label detailing its early history. The label proudly lists US Patent 1,641,121, which was officially granted to Walter A. Sheaffer on September 6, 1927, for the revolutionary "Universal" socket design.
