The piece is distinguished by its elegant proportions and finely executed decorative details, including a shaped base resting on onion feet to the front and bracket feet to the rear, together with a high apron enriched by warm mecca gilding. Entirely carved, gilded and lacquered by hand, the base demonstrates the craftsmanship and decorative sophistication characteristic of Italian furniture of the period. The top is lacquered to imitate Sienna marble, adding depth and architectural presence while creating a beautiful contrast with the gilded decoration. Originally intended as a display support, the piece adapts beautifully today as: – a sculpture pedestal – a display plinth – a vase stand – a decorative tabletop base Its restrained dimensions make it highly versatile while preserving a strong decorative presence. A highly decorative and elegant object, ideal for layered interiors and curated displays.
