Mid-century Danish Modern rectangular copper box by SPV Denmark, circa 1960s, featuring a distinctive white with black speckled enamel lid and a slender rosewood lift. The low-profile design combines warm copper, contrasting enamel, and richly toned wood in a refined example of Scandinavian Modern metalwork.
The hinged lid opens to reveal a clean, tin-lined interior, suitable for storing jewelry, keepsakes, desk accessories, or other small personal objects. The copper underside bears the SPV Denmark maker's mark. A handsome decorative box for a desk, dresser, coffee table, or bookshelf.
JUNE'S THOUGHTS
The slender wooden lift is such a thoughtful design detail. This is the kind of small decorative object that looks equally at home on a beautifully arranged desk or a modern coffee table. Its simplicity is what makes it so appealing.
