A celebrated exemplar of modern French luxury and kinetic posture, the "Dolce" wave chaise lounge by Roche Bobois, Paris, produced circa the 2000s–2010s in Italy, effortlessly unites monumental sculptural presence with anatomic precision. Famous for its signature ergonomic wave silhouette that follows the natural curves of the reclining body. This contemporary lounger with a low-slung 12-inch seat height is elevated on sweeping brushed aluminum saber legs. The frame is tailored in an exotic metallic gray faux-lizard embossed upholstery featuring deep grid-tufted channels down the length of the seat, accented by an original woven Roche Bobois tag at the seam. Structurally robust with supportive internal cushioning, the piece remains in good vintage condition while showing honest signs of use, including noticeable corner rubbing with finish loss to the upper back seam, subtle surface scuffing and micro-abrasions to the tufted seat, minor edge fraying on the fabric label, and light cosmetic markings across the aluminum legs.
