This particular unit boasts a fascinating history, featuring an original, intact mid-century inspection sticker on one side from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Signed under Commissioner Doyle Conner (who served from 1961 to 1991), this regulatory decal adds an incredible layer of proven state authenticity and regional vintage appeal.
The scale features a double-sided dial layout (one clockwise, one counter-clockwise) originally designed so both the shopkeeper and customer could monitor weights simultaneously. It comes complete with its original hanging chains and a heavy-duty, wonderfully weathered galvanized metal scoop pan.
