A delightful and very unusual pair of cast brass Spanish galleon andirons, each ship fitted to a French Louis XVI style base. Each one has short curved brass clad return with a log stop in front of the iron billet bars, each bar stamped “AM.” The backs of each ship also have hand stippled dates “1893.” Good antique condition. These are sand cast, and have typical artisanal irregularities, nicely polished.
