A pair of sculpted walnut armchairs from John Van Koert’s Profile line for Drexel, circa 1955–57. Fine turned spindles fill a curved back framed by a shaped crest rail, and the arms sweep down from the back in one continuous line. The chairs stand on tapered, splayed legs with a single front stretcher. Original black vinyl seats.
Both chairs keep their original “by Drexel” Certificate of Inspection under the seat, with the pencil model number K60, inspector stamps, and factory chalk markings.
They work well as dining armchairs, desk chairs, or a pair flanking a console.
