Hand signed on the lower right with an annotation of 47/125 on the lower left. Using a carefully structured grid of circles that expand and contract across the picture plane, Vasarely creates the illusion of a spherical form pushing outward from the flat surface. Victor Vasarely (1906–1997) was a Hungarian-French artist widely regarded as the father of Op Art.
