The glass body is ornamented with impressed swags and pendant drop motifs, creating a rhythmic decorative pattern around the exterior. These flowing details complement the softly rounded form of the bowl and reflect the organic, graceful aesthetic favoured during the Art Nouveau era. The iridescent surface produces subtle variations of colour and lustre as it catches the light, giving the glass an especially attractive visual depth and jewel-like appearance. The bowl is raised upon a circular pedestal base, providing an elegant elevated profile and creating a well-balanced silhouette. Particularly desirable is the survival of its original cover, completing the composition and adding to its decorative and collectible appeal. Dating to approximately 1910, this is an attractive example of early 20th-century decorative glass, equally suited for use as a traditional rose bowl, table centrepiece or display piece within a collection of Edwardian and Art Nouveau glass.
